It seems that I am always drawn back to writing and publishing on Darbright.com. I do love the process of writing, the way it takes abstract ideas and turns them into logical constructs made up of words.

It’s like taking the indefinable vague substance of the ethereal realm and making it tangible in our 3D reality.

I have yet to find a comfortable and productive method of writing and publishing here. It is still kind of a random process of when I want to invest the time to write out a coherent piece. Usually, it’s only when I find something I think and feel is worthy of being written that I actually do get down to writing it.

Otherwise, it’s mostly kept to streams of consciousness inside my Journal.

The other thing that I am exploring (still) is the style of writing. Should I keep things logical (and dry), or allow a little more personality to come through in my writing? Maybe even infuse some emotions into my posts to make it more captivating and interesting.

I won’t settle down into any style just yet, because I am still exploring what works best for me in sharing my ideas.

Originally, I wanted to create a structured style blog, where I go through topics in the order which I feel a person would normally go through. But that would only turn this site into an online “textbook” of what I personally think of as personal growth.

Right now, however, my decision is leaning towards writing and sharing whatever interests me and has given me something useful at the current moment. I might jump from topic to topic with no link in between. Or I might even write out an article series that becomes a hit on the web.

Who knows?

The Point I’m Making Here

When it comes to starting out, it’ll take some time for you to get your groove, ya know what I mean? If you are thinking of becoming a blogger, my take is that you just need to start writing something.

Take your best shot and put it out there.

You really won’t know what your readers will connect with. In the process of sharing, you’ll eventually develop a style that is distinctly you. When it comes to personality-based websites like blogging, I’m pretty sure that you would need to be unique and stand out from the crowd.

It won’t help you develop a brand when you are exactly the same as everyone else, right?

This doesn’t mean that you should write and put trash out on the web. God knows there are thousands of websites that are simply trash and totally uninteresting. It’s like walking into a mall where every item on sale is the same thing.

Things become kind of bland, you think?

Search for a way to blend value with personality, style with substance. A great combination will eventually get you noticed by those who are searching for the kind of value that you are providing.

The most important thing that you can take away from this post?

Take your best shot and what you do.

And keep on taking your best shot…. again and again… and eventually you will get to where you want to be.
