It’s been some time since I’ve visited this subject about INFJ Masters and personal development. It’s not an easy topic to share on since life mastery covers many many areas.

But if INFJ Masters do have any characteristic, it is the ability to lead through their vision, inspiration and dedication to the cause.

INFJs and Forecasting The Future

From my experience, INFJs tend to have the ability to forecast the future. By saying this, I don’t mean that INFJs can see what WILL happen in the future, but more towards the ability to see the probabilities of certain events taking place.

How Introverted Intuition (Ni) Works for INFJs

Someone has ever asked me to describe how Ni works (Ni being Introverted Intuition). The best way I can describe how this dominant function in INFJs work is through the following:

The INFJ Introverted Intuition (Ni) works to forecast or anticipate the future by taking as many factors into account as possible. It’s based within a framework of understanding the larger picture, how the possible human behaviors work within that larger picture, potential push and pull factors, current momentum, anticipated future events, surrounding elements of a person’s social circle and network.

INFJ Ni Takes EVERYTHING Into Consideration

When an INFJ looks towards the probable futures, he or she takes everything into account and applies an intuitive weightage towards each factor. Based on everything, the INFJ then makes an educated and intuitive guess about what the future will be.

INFJs who have developed their Ni and understanding of global forces will also be able to anticipate global changes and trends based on current and possible future events. This is a major reason why INFJs are so dedicated towards humanity.

They can “see” the direction and future of mankind.

INFJ Masters and Leadership

What does forecasting the future have to do with becoming an INFJ Master?

The truth is, an individual is not able to change or influence the future on his or her own. If he or she is able to gather, influence and share his or her vision with a group of people, the INFJ Master will have leveraged his ability to influence the future of his community and society.

Many INFJs who are able to forecast the future have yet to develop this leadership ability. Not because they aren’t able to, but by nature INFJs prefer to stay out of the spotlight and allow others to shine. Hence you find INFJs are typically the “shadow masters”, or the people who influence from behind the scenes.

But if you are an INFJ seeking a life more fulfilling and purposeful, leadership is something that you inevitably must learn.

There are many forms of leadership. INFJs do not lean towards the showy and blustery style of leading. Instead, because of their desire to get things done (from their “J”ness), they tend to lead by example and usually get involved with the actual work.

Other Leadership Traits of an INFJ Master

An INFJ Master leads by sharing his vision and passion, usually inspired by the need to help humanity. His values typically border on doing things for the greater good and towards a balanced, vibrant and growing community (as one of the things that also guides an INFJ is the need for growth).

An INFJ Master not only inspires others through his vision of the future, but also by lending his efforts towards making sure processes are in place, people are engaged and fulfilled, others have ownership of the vision and that basically everyone is taken care of in every way possible.

But Mastery comes not only through the ability to lead, but also knowing when to lead and when to allow others to lead. Through his or her understanding of the future, an INFJ Master’s ability to read a person will allow him to guide another who is more fitting for a position to step up and shine.

Whoever is best for that job is given that job, because through his or her performance the greater community benefits.

INFJ Masters also learn to set aside their own desire for being out of the spotlight to take up the reins if necessary.

When the future of the people they care about is at stake, there are things more important than staying in the shadows doing their own thing.

An INFJ Master is able to set aside his own desire for peace and quiet, because he understands that this physical life is temporary. As much as he desires to linger beside quiet waters, bubbling streams and the coolness of nature, if there is work to be done…. an INFJ Master does it until it is.

Does this mean that INFJ Masters don’t have their own fears, misgivings and setbacks?

INFJs tend to be harder on themselves than the people around them. Each mistake, no matter how slight or inconsequential, can linger on his or her mind for days until they have made peace with it.

With their strong Fe (Extroverted Feeling), they are aware of how things are and how they should be. For them, the saying that for those who are given much, much is expected, holds true. With their strong abilities to intuit and feel, they hold themselves to higher standards because they “know better”.

Yet, being human, mistakes are inevitable. Emotions and feelings hold sway over rational and logical judgement. People make mistakes.

INFJ Masters and Self Acceptance

INFJ Masters have learnt this and understood that they are also a part of humanity and are susceptible to mistakes. They have learnt to accept that they are not perfect, to acknowledge when they have made a mistake and then take the necessary actions to correct them if possible.

In many ways, an INFJ Master doesn’t just work on his external environment. His or her work takes place in both worlds, internal and external. As he works on developing and improving the external world around him, he is also constantly working on improving the inner world that exists within.

INFJ Masters, in their leadership, do not show they are “perfect”. Instead, they acknowledge their humanity and connection with everyone else. It is through this acknowledgement of connection that helps to bring everyone together. It is through the realization that change and growth can only come if everyone works together instead of against each other.

One message that is important and resonates through the soul of INFJ Masters… is the message that we are all connected at varying levels and in varying degrees. What one person does will ultimately affect another because no one is truly separate.

It is because of this understanding and awareness that INFJ Masters strive to better humanity and society, sometimes to their own cost. Yet it is also because of their awareness of the soul that they have the drive to push beyond physical barriers, knowing that there is life on the other side of the veil.

INFJ Masters light the way.

The Attitude of Gratitude Can Change Your Life In Amazing Ways…

Complaining and searching for all the things gone wrong seems to be the default that most people operate in. I know that I’ve done my fair share in the past, so I’m certainly guilty of this one. However, when I look back at the times that I deliberately chose to be grateful for what I have instead of what I didn’t, I realized that gratitude made a profound difference.

When I started choosing to be grateful for what I have, I noticed there was an immediate impact on my perception and experience of reality.

My Experience With Gratitude

It starts with a conscious decision to make a mental shift. To look at things from a perspective of what I have rather than what I don’t. And this is the most important part of gratitude being the right attitude.

It isn’t actually finding things that you are grateful for. The critical element of gratitude is, in truth, shifting from a perspective of *abundance* as compared to *scarcity*.

I mean, you probably have heard many times that you should have the abundance or prosperity attitude. But no one’s ever really told you what it actually is, right? I mean, what exactly *is* the abundance mindset?

It’s not about believing that you have something that you don’t have. It’s not about believing that it’s your right to have a million or billion dollars, or having that beautiful house, sports car, exotic holidays or the like.

The Abundance Mindset… What It Really Is

Having an abundant mindset starts by realizing that you already have everything you need right here and now. It may not be as much as the person next to you, but you have what you have.

We are all dealt a hand of cards in this life and it’s up to us to play the hand given the best we can. When you know how to play the game right, you never know… you might just end up winning a game that you thought you should have lost.

The abundance mindset comes by identifying what you already have and being grateful for it. Take the things that you have and appreciate the value of it. As you do this, you become aware of the infinite possibilities and potential of the things you already hold in your hand.

For example, when I’m feeling low or just having a down day, I’m glad that I have the ability to appreciate the beauty of the sun shining off the rich green leaves and vibrantly colorful flowers. I’m glad that I have the ability to hear the harmonies of lifting music. I’m glad that I have the arms, legs and body to do something to make things right.

Gratitude Changes Your Perception of Life

Gratitude changes the way you perceive things. It creates a shift in your emotions, pushing away the melancholy and heaviness that worry brings. It helps bring clarity to your mind to see that you always have had the potential to change your surroundings, even if just a little.

If You Are Worried About Stuff

For example, if I’m worried about money, I can review what I have and be grateful for them. Like the ability to write and share my thoughts (I could write a book!). Or that I have a decent educational background and intelligence that gives me the ability to search for opportunities. Or experience that allows me to create value (like this article) to share with others that may potentially create further opportunities for wealth creation.

And if you have no educational background, you can be grateful for the intelligence that allows you to read (and go to your public library!) and gain information that may possibly help you.

Being Grateful Helps You Be Proactive

I’ve realized that in many situations, just being grateful changes the way I view things. While it doesn’t change the situation directly, it affects how I respond to the environment. It makes me a little more accepting of the current situation and thus a little more proactive about doing something to change it.

I don’t practice this often enough myself, but the times that I have I almost always lift up my own spirit when I am down. It makes life a little brighter and optimistic, and gives me that boost I need to get through the day.

When you are grateful for what you have, you start looking at the things you have like apple seeds. While you can count the number of seeds in an apple, you can’t count the number of apples in the seed. The possibilities are limitless and infinite.

Gratitude Creates A World Of Possibilities

It may seem that we live in an “objective” world, that what you see around you is what it is and can’t be changed. But my experience has told me otherwise.

Just shifting my attitude and mindset alone changes the way I perceive reality. In fact, I would say that all positive and sustainable growth starts from the inside, where no one sees the growth first taking roots.

When you start taking concrete and definite actions, it’s more than possible to start shifting and changing your external reality. Experiencing a better life is an inside job that no one else can do for you.

You can read all the positive and affirming materials that you want, but it’s only when we decide to change our attitude to gratitude that things begin to change.

Will *gratitude* create an immediate transformation of your external reality?

It’s not an immediate transformation, but the *magic* doesn’t always happen at the snap of the fingers, does it? It’s more like the budding of a flower, or the first sprout of the seed that breaks the shell while still in the soil.

The things that we experience today didn’t occur overnight. It’s usually a culmination of our thought habits and actions that we’ve taken over the years.

What I can say is that it *will* change how you perceive life, thus affecting how you act towards it. And when your actions change to reflect your inner attitude, sooner or later your external reality will change.

I’m grateful that I can share these thoughts with you. So if you ask me, I’d say that Gratitude is the Right Attitude.

The best way to dispel fear and build courage is to take action in the direction of your goals. Without action, talk of courage is just bluster in the wind.

When you have goals in your life, inaction tends to breed fear. Perhaps it is a subconscious signal to yourself that you don’t trust yourself in accomplishing your goals. The longer you procrastinate, the more time you have to think of reasons why you cannot make it.

The longer you sit still and procrastinate on your goals, the more it builds inertia and allows other events in life to creep in and take up space. You have lost the position of authority and influence in your own life.

When you procrastinate on the things important to you, you are in effect telling yourself that you aren’t worthy of your goals and that you are cannot accomplish them.

“An object in motion tends to stay in motion; an object at rest tends to stay at rest.”

When you are not moving, the tendency is for you to stay stagnant. It gets harder to break out of existing habits and thought patterns. And before you know it, you will find that time has passed you by and you are days, if not months down the road of your life and nowhere closer to your goals.

Building Courage Through Action

There is something about taking decisive action that builds courage and momentum. True, you may falter and make mistakes. It’s inevitable regardless of whatever you do. But that’s ok. You can always self-correct along the way.

When you start taking action, no matter how small, it starts to build trust in yourself. With trust comes courage. With action, the fear you have starts to dissipate as you realize that many of your fears exist only inside your mind.

As you take action, you start to build courage and momentum in the direction of your goals.

The Added Benefits of Taking Action

When you are taking action in the direction of your goals, you literally are one step closer to accomplishing them. You are building momentum and confidence. Along the way, you are learning more about what needs to be done as well as improving your self-knowledge.

With action, you also realize where you need to grow as well as what your strengths are. It’s interesting how you start to realize how capable you truly are when you set your mind on accomplishing your goals. You start to recognize that you are capable of filling a place in life that is yours and yours alone.

Everything Is Connected

Many people like to think of how life is a separation of events, people and experiences. The truth is, everything in your life is interconnected in very intimate ways. What affects one part of your life inevitably spills over to others.

Why?

The one constant in your life is you. It’s something you can’t run away from even if you wanted to, right? Everywhere you go, you bring yourself along. Your thoughts, your fears, your strengths, your experiences and everything that you are follows you.

Your beliefs shape your perceptions and actions. Your experience, which is influenced by your actions, ultimately reinforces your beliefs. It’s a circle of cause and effect that is as timeless as life itself.

Only when you do something different are you able to change the effects of what is happening in your life. And when you take action in the direction of your goals, you are introducing something new into the circle of cause and effect.

If fear and inaction is causing a build-up of frustration at the lack of desired results in your life… if you are feeling stagnant and locked in a vicious circle that you just want to get out of… the best way you can do it is to simply take action. And not just any action, but action in the direction of your goals.

Are you tired, afraid and sick of where you are in life? Are you wishing for something more… something better… something good in your life? Are you afraid that you will never amount to anything?

Of all the remedies available, the best way to dispel fear and build courage is to take action in the direction of your goals. Take action, and take action consistently.

When you want to start changing your life, it usually starts with the little things. First comes the realization that your life isn’t what you want it to be. Followed by the realization that while you can blame other people and situations for how your life is, the truth is that blaming doesn’t help. And then the dawning realization that it’s going to be a long drawn out “battle” to turn your life around.

Changing your life starts with the little things. It’s like building muscles. It’s really hard to change your habits at first. And the truth is that you are likely to fail quite a few times before a new habit starts to take hold. It’s easier to start with the little things and build your self-discipline like a muscle. You use light weights to condition your body before steadily progressing to heavier weights over time.

Your life is the way it is not because of something that happened overnight. Your life is the way it is because you have allowed the little things to build up that take personal power away from you. You have allowed sloppiness, procrastination, finger-pointing at others and many other little mental habits to creep in unawares.

The cumulative effect of all that is what you have today. Your life.

When you want to change your life, it takes patience. Patience with yourself, patience with the way people perceive you, patience for results to manifest in your life. Hey… if it truly was that easy, you would have a heck lot more successful people in the world today.

The key is to never give up on yourself. Regardless of how the world treats you, or how you have treated yourself in the past, never give up on yourself.

Of course, you’re allowed down time to feel sad, depressed and totally frustrated with yourself. You are HUMAN. You can’t escape from emotions. But it’s one thing to feel these emotions, it’s another to allow yourself to be covered, baked and served up as a miserable failure to yourself.

Never give up on yourself.

It’s also great to celebrate any successes you have on your journey of life. Yet remember to ground yourself and not get carried away. Life has a way of balancing itself out with the highs and the lows. It’s good to have a steady upward trend if you can help it. Success tends to last longer this way than the sudden peaks of unexpected success.

Changing your life starts with the little things. But it all starts with you. The day you realize that you’ve had enough of whatever it is you are experiencing and that you decide to turn your life around. Whether you like it or not, realize that it’s a war against your old self of unproductive, self-defeating habits.

When you decide to change and start taking action, every pain, temporary setback and doubt is the birth pang of your new and better self. Measure yourself not by your external success, but by the person you are becoming.

And when your new self replaces the old, you will realize that the little things you have done will have built up a cumulative effect over time to manifest the results you seek.

Changing your life starts with the little things. Remember that it’s never too late to turn your life around. And that everything… EVERYTHING… begins with you.

The problem with being a perfectionist is the need to have things perfect even though what you have is already good enough. When you want to be perfect for the sake of perfection, it becomes a very ineffective way to move forward to your goals. Perfectionism can be huge reason why you get stuck where you are instead of achieving the results that you want to achieve.

Perfectionism usually isn’t the root cause of your inability to get results. More often than not, perfectionism comes from fear. The fear that you’re not good enough, the fear of failing, the fear of success, the fear of being laughed at. There are a myriad number of reasons why you may be prone to the symptom of perfectionism.

However since only you will ever know the true reason for wanting to be “perfect”, I’m not going to address this issue. It’s a psychological issue that is rooted in your beliefs or experiences. If you journal often enough and are honest enough with yourself, you may eventually uncover the reason for your need to be perfect.

More importantly though, regardless of the reason, you will need to move past this barrier of perfectionism. Especially if you want results.

Getting Results By Playing The Game

One of the things that I’ve learnt from playing sports over the years is that no matter how good you are, there will always be days when some things just don’t go right. And as a professional athlete, one of the things that you will discover is that rarely does any of the top players in the world go into a tournament 100% fit and healthy.

Most of the times, you will be carrying some form of niggling injury or fatigue from the last tournament. Your emotional and psychological state before stepping onto the court or field may sometimes be off where you want to be.

Since I play the game of tennis, let’s use it as an example to illustrate what I mean.

It could be a new environment where you have yet to fully adjust to the courts, the bounce of the ball, windy conditions, lighting, noises in the crowd or maybe one of your shoes just doesn’t feel fully comfortable.

Some days, you may be experiencing tiredness or aches in your legs. Your racket may feel a little off in its balance. The strings just don’t feel 100% right.

There’s always something that needs to be dealt with.

The most important thing that you can do is to play to win anyway. Find a way to navigate these obstacles and win the game.

It’s about dealing with whatever the day or moment throws up at you. These distractions are just that… distractions. You need to keep your eyes and mind on winning the game. You need to bring yourself to a state of relaxed focus to give everything you’ve got when it’s needed.

That’s how you’re going to win and win consistently on the court. Not always, but far more often than you normally would.

How This Relates to Real Life…

There are days when you just don’t feel 100% in the mornings when you wake up. It could be a late night out with friends, fatigue from catching up on the latest reports, or some personal issues that crop up unexpectedly.

When you get to the office, you find that you may have to settle some relational issues between colleagues or staff. Perhaps the air conditioner doesn’t work. Or some last minute information pops up that requires you to rethink your presentation or proposal to your clients.

You know it’s not always that you get to experience clarity of mind in the mornings, having events flow smoothly from one to the other and having the results that you desire fall into your lap with little to no effort.

There are some times when you just need to grit your teeth, pull yourself together and push on through whatever things that the day may throw up at you. Of course, if you are experience more than the normal inconveniences for far too long, then you have to question the systems and people that are in your work place.

But other than that, it’s about dealing with things as it is to get the result that you want.

Supreme athletes have the ability to get into the “zone” where they block out all other distractions and focus on playing the game. It’s this ability that allows them to almost effortless glide through games and handle critical moments. It’s this ability that allows them to fully be in the present moment and have a relaxed focus to play the game the way the game needs to be played in that moment.

When you want to reach your goals, there will be days that nothing seems to go right. But more often than not, it’s a test of your determination, discipline and focus to play through the inconveniences.

Playing The Game of Life

It’s a game. It’s all a game in the great game of life. You still have to decide which game you want to play but when you have, your mindset has to change from spectator, incompetent or whiny player, to that of a professional. You need to deal with the moment as it is and keep your eyes on the prize.

You may not always win the day. But more importantly, when you are able to play the game of life with a relaxed focus to deal with whatever the moment may throw at you, you’ll be able to win the war.

When you realize that nothing is ever going to be perfect all the time, it’s just a matter of knowing when what you have is enough to win the day. And if it isn’t enough, it’s about dealing with things on the fly while scrapping and crawling to the finish line.

To play the right game, setting goals that resonate with you is important. But once you’ve decided the game that you’re playing, it’s all about character development and personal growth to achieving the results you want.

Nothing will ever be 100% perfect every single time.

The victory will be so much the sweeter for the fight that you have been through. It’s not only about the goals that you accomplish, but the kind of man or woman that you become for the journey that you have taken.

INFJ relationships are rare to come by. First because INFJ types are rare. Second because INFJs tend to be very protective of their inner core. When they allow that special someone in, that person has access to everything that is the essence of them.

In other words, INFJs don’t have “relationships” with the one they love. They have mates… i.e. life partners. When INFJs truly love someone, they love that person all the way to the end of their lives and possibly even beyond. So when things come to an end, as they have a tendency to do, INFJs get wounded to their core.

And this raw gaping wound in their soul can last a long time. It takes years for an INFJ to recover from a soul wound. On the surface, it may seem that life has returned to normal after awhile. But on the inside, the INFJ is still reflecting over the events, decisions, words and actions that have taken place during the relationship.

So how does an INFJ actually recover from this soul wound and heal themselves?

Your typical breakup advice doesn’t really work with INFJs. I think it’s mostly because INFJs are so rare that no case studies or relationship work has been done with them. What you get in advice for the masses applies to that… the masses.

INFJ Relationship – Being On The Receiving End

I refer to INFJ relationships that end because of a breakup caused by the other party. Why? If an INFJ has already made a decision to move on from a relationship, they would already have started the process of disassociating important parts of themselves from the relationship.

They would have understood why certain aspects just wouldn’t work and come to peace with letting that part go. So part by part, an INFJ would ease out of a relationship in the softest manner possible. They do this to allow time and social conditioning of their partner to get used to life without them.

When an INFJ wants to move on from a relationship from someone they still care about (but don’t want to spend the rest of their life with), they do their best to minimize the pain and hurt that may result from the breakup. They will do it in ways that are so subtle, you never really notice they are moving on until you are already used to living without their conscious presence.

Of course if you were paying attention to the relationship in the first place, it’s less likely that an INFJ would consider moving on unless the two of you are truly incompatible.

But when it comes to the other party initiating a breakup with an INFJ on the receiving end, I doubt that most other types give the same type of consideration. The motto of the faster the better usually applies. The “it is better to hurt them now rather than prolong the agony” is the typical advice given for initiating breakups.

So for INFJs whose core have been left vulnerable and exposed, it’s literally stabbing a red hot knife into their entrails, twisting it and slowly carving their heart out type of soul agony. The pain and hurt resonates for years even after the breakup. It’s a metaphysical reaching into their chest with your hand and yanking their heart out while it’s still beating.

And since most INFJs keep their inner circle to a limited number of people, it’s unlikely you’ll see them out partying and socializing as part of their healing process. On rare occasions when they need to get out of their minds, yes, they may need an outlet to just distract them. But as a rule of thumb, INFJs will spend their solitary moments coming to terms with whatever happened.

Obtaining Closure In INFJ Relationships

There are some key points that I wish to share here. I think most INFJs and spiritually aware people will understand this. When it comes to understanding universal spirit, it helps to know that everyone that lives on this planet comes from the same soul source. We are like little drops of water that are separated from the ocean, each an individual with their own perspective, personality and character. But yet we are all made from the same substance.

A lot of the experiences that we have on this planet relate to this planet. When we move on after death, life and values are much different on the other side. Physical things and earthly desires start to pale because they have no “value” when everything exists at the metaphysical level.

The thing is when you love someone, you love someone. You just do. You may never live your life with the person that you love, but it is good enough to know that because of love you need to set them free. Even if it hurts like ten thousand demons are rampaging through your soul having a wild malevolent party eating your heart out one bite at a time.

When it comes to letting go, for most INFJs who reach their spiritual maturity, the value of “the Highest Good of All Concerned” is the dominant factor. And this is the principle that you need to hold onto as you begin the process of finding closure.

INFJ Relationships – Actual Exercise For Finding Closure

Ok, this may seem like I’m piling it on in the pain and hurt department. But it also depends on where you are in your recovery stage and the reasons why things ended.

When you understand that the Highest Power is Unconditional Love, you might understand the reasons behind why you might want to try this.

Take out your journal, your private sacrosanct place. This exercise will help you bring a sense of completion and allow you to move on a little easier.

What you are going to do is to create a life for yourself in one of your inner worlds with your ex-partner. Since I am a guy, I’ll be writing this from a male INFJ perspective. If you’re female, just use the female perspective to create your own inner world, ok?

Okay.

What You Are Going To Do…

You’re going to live a complete life from beginning to end with the person that you love. Begin from the beginning or a comfortable place where things were still good between the two of you. If you were single and dating at that time, then start from that point. If you were married, then start from a place where things were still going great in the marriage.

I’ll start from the where you are a single in a relationship.

The next few paragraphs are about re-creating the relationship into the form of memories, so the language I use may seem to imply that events have already happened. It is an exercise in creating possibilities in your inner world to find closure in your heart and mind.

And so we begin…

Remember the first time the two of you met. The initial flutter, nervousness and gathering of courage that you needed to make the first approach. You were hoping that she responds in kind, but you never know for sure what her reaction is going to be. So when she replies, the dance begins.

Remember how the two of you start to talk and hang out a little. Remember the fun, laughter and joy the two of you enjoyed. Remember the sharing of intimate details and soul secrets that you would only share with your life partner. Remember the times that you spent together in the sunshine and the moments that only two of you will ever know.

Remember the best and the worst of her. Remember how you loved the best parts of her and remember how the two of you went through the worst parts together. Revisit the times that the two of you fought… and create a resolution that satisfies the both of you.

Imagine how you went through picking that engagement ring knowing what you know about her. You’re hoping that she will accept what you can offer, even if you know that she deserves better than whatever you could possibly hope to offer.

Imagine your proposal to her and asking for her hand in marriage. Imagine her delight, laughter and joy as you went to one knee and offered her the ring. Remember the sparkling light in her eyes when she said yes. Remember how your heart leapt and throbbed when she smiled with tears in her eyes as she accepted the ring on her finger.

Go through the planning of the wedding. The picking of the bridal gown, the long waits in the shops as she tried on dress after dress to find the one she finally loved. The discussion of details about who to invite to the wedding, what kind of entertainment to be had, and what the set-up would be like.

Imagine the day finally arriving, when you were ready to receive her at the altar. Feel the nervousness and anxiety that pounds at your heart as you wait for her to make her entrance.

Remember how your heart lifted in hope when the church doors started to open and the rapt silence that befell your soul when she finally stepped through.

You wonder why someone as beautiful and wonderful as her would ever marry someone like you. And then you stop questioning and accept the blessing that life has so generously offered you, because you know you will gladly spend the rest of your life making it up to her.

Imagine your honeymoon. Remember the fun and laughter that you shared when the two of you travelled to your favourite destinations. Oh how the both of you enjoyed the sun, the sand and the surf. Remember the intimate candlelight dinners and soft music playing in the background as the two of you speak softly in the lush darkness of the day.

Remember the moments when the two of you made love. Fall into the soft, sensual and romantic encounters. Feel the passion of the hard and aggressive moments. Feel the sharing of physical pleasures that spill out into the intimate surroundings of your lovemaking. Remember the teasing and building up of pleasurable intensity, keeping her on the edge until her cries fill your ears and her climax satisfies your soul.

Remember the languid moments after as you rest in each other’s arms, limbs tangled amid passion-wrecked blankets. Remember the moments of physical and soul connection as the two of your drift into blissful sleep.

Remember the re-entry into society and working life after your honeymoon. The tough times the two of you go through together as you seek to establish yourselves into a new life routine. Imagine going through hard moments of life together as both of you meet with obstacles in work, family and life. Remember how the two of you fought and disagreed with one another.

But always remember how the two of you came back together and worked it out.

And for the tough times you went through together, the relationship became stronger and the foundations became surer. Because you know that regardless of what life throws your way, you will be there for her as much as she will always be there for you.

Remember the first news of her pregnancy. Feel your heart leap with joy and then the worry that comes over the health of both her and your child. Feel the kind patience of your soul as she snaps at you over the fussing as you do your best to wrap her in cotton wool until the baby is born.

Remember the times when you went to classes with her in preparation for the birth of your child.

Remember how your heart stopped the day her water broke.

The rush to the hospital was controlled frenzy. Take part in the craziness of the birthing process and finally hold your child in your arms. Feel the quiet joy and pride that both of you shared as you held your baby in your arms.

Remember the times when you woke up in the night to soothe your baby. Remember the tiredness and her kicking you out of bed to change the baby’s diapers. Remember the moments that the two of you spent watching your child grow up.

Remember how the two of you talked late into the nights about what kind of person you would like your child to be, and how much you loved each other still over the years. A love for each other that is separate from your child, yet encompassing your baby in your world.

As you continue to imagine and create a life together with the person you love, always hold to the principle that the two of you worked things out and came to love each other more. Even when your thoughts want to derail and go into dark moments, always find a way back to making things right.

This is… after all…. your inner world of imagination. You are the creator and participant in this experience of life. This is where you get the chance to finally live out a life together with the one you love.

Create a life together all the way to the end. A life that is real with its ups and downs, its moments of joy and its moments of sadness. Create a life that encompasses the important things to you. Watching your children grow up into fine adults, the life the two of you shared and the years when you realized that the both of you were getting older.

Imagine the time when you finally made peace with going through death’s door and getting ready to meet each other again on the other side. Imagine how your life would have been if the two of you got the chance to live with the best of each other.

Finally, make peace with yourself that you have already lived a life with the one you love. In another world, in another time, perhaps all this would have taken place. But the truth is… it did.

It took place in your inner world. You got a chance to live out a full and complete life together. You got to experience the best of each other. You got to experience the worst of each other and yet made it through.

You have already lived a life with the one you love.

And now that you have, let go of the need to have that person in your life. Allow the one that you love to go free. To experience the journey and life’s lessons that she (or he) needs in their journey. Know that you do so because you have already lived the life you wanted. Let go because of the love you have for their soul and their journey in this life.

And when you have made peace within your heart and soothed the cry of your soul, you can continue with your own journey in this world. You know that you have already lived a thousand lifetimes in the deepest depths of your heart and this is but another path to walk.

But there are several stages anyone goes through before you get to live your purpose in life that truly brings you joy, happiness and the fulfillment that you desire.

There are practical aspects to living a life that is on purpose. For all intents and purposes, you will need the basic necessities of life. You will still need clothes, food to eat, a place to rest and other material substances to live in our modern world.

Regardless of what you want to believe, fulfilling your purpose in life requires you to make the most of what you already have right now where you are. Even if you wanted to live out in the wild, how many people actually have the requisite skills to survive out in the wilderness, hunting and trapping game for food? Or even the ability to manage and cultivate a farm to grow crops for food?

Life Purpose Evolves According To Where You Are

It is nice to think that your purpose in life takes on an unchanging form of material expression. But the truth is probably quite different. The intent and drive of your Life Purpose is eternal, but the form in which it is expressed evolves to meet the environment that you are in.

For example, if your purpose in life is to help people “wake up” to see the larger picture, it can take many different forms. You can be a writer of self-help books, a producer who creates life documentaries of the world around us, a singer who serenades the world with inspiring songs or any other channel of expression.

Your Purpose in Life can take on any shape that it needs to express its desire to be heard, seen and felt in this world. The message and intent remains the same. But the channel that you express your purpose in life can vary greatly from one person to the other, from one culture to the next.

Living Your Purpose In Life Isn’t A Random Event

The truth is that if you want to live a purposeful and meaningful life, it has to come about through deliberate and conscious actions on your part. That’s the very essence of purpose, isn’t it?

You are doing something deliberately with the intent of achieving a specific aim.. which in this case is to have a more joyful, happy and fulfilling life.

While there is an odd chance you might randomly fall into your dream life, the majority of us will need to take a good hard look at ourselves and who we are. You have to make trade-offs between what you think you have now and what you strongly desire to have in your new life.

There are practical aspects to consider when you want to fulfill your purpose in life, ya know?

Embracing Practical Spirituality

It might seem a little hard-nosed and calculating, but we need to embrace and live a practical spirituality that is actually of some value to others. If your purpose in life has no value to the community around you, then what purpose does Life and the Universe have for you?

There’s no difference whether you exist because you make no difference in Life.

The first step is of course clarifying your authentic purpose in life. If you don’t know how to go about doing that, then this life purpose coaching video series might prove helpful to you. Another option you can look at is reading Life on Purpose by Dr. Brad Swift.

The other practical aspects of living your purpose in life is to review your finances. When you look at your finances and your lifestyle, ask yourself what is the minimum that you really need to live the life you desire.

Are you already at that level, or do you still have work to do?

Calculating Your “Get Free” Number

Perhaps the majority of your finances come from doing the work you dislike, which means that you need to find alternative channels of income. In order to do this, you need to crunch some numbers to get the amount you need to pay for your desired lifestyle.

Many people find an excessive lifestyle exhausting and wearing on them after some time. Just keeping up appearances and the work schedule to maintain a lifestyle they don’t really need does takes its toll eventually. Which is also a reason why so many people start searching for their real purpose in life.

A great approach is to simplify your life and required material needs. Get it down to a comfortable level and calculate how much you actually need to pay for that life.

That’s your “get free” number.

Do you really need such a big car? Or a big house? How about other fancy gadgets and stuff that just lie around the house taking up space? If you didn’t have all the stuff you don’t need, perhaps you don’t really need that big a house?

What is the basic stuff you need to really live your purpose in life?

And if you are shifting away from your current lifestyle, would you still be splurging the kind of money on social functions that you no longer enjoy?

You might be very surprised at the real “get free” number you need to live your purpose in life. True, it may seem a little extreme. But this exercise helps you to identify what you really need in life financially. You may find that you truly don’t need a lot after all.

Living Your Purpose In Life Requires Hard-Nosed Decisions

It sounds great… all airy fairy type of happy goodness when we talk about living a purposeful life of joy, happiness and fulfillment. But as long as you have a physical body and responsibilities to take care of, we need to make clear decisions on the things we need in this life.

It also requires you to be clear on what your purpose in life is. You also need clarity on what your strengths, passions, and value-creating abilities are. If you can’t create value fulfilling your purpose in life, it’s going to be difficult for you to make a living doing what you love.

Creating Cash Flow To Support Your Purpose In Life Activities

Some options you can consider are investing into cash flow generating assets like businesses, stocks that pay solid dividends, buying investment property for rental income or other types of cash flow generating assets.

Or if you have the ability to create value from your passion and life purpose, consider the options of building a business around your purpose in life to make the income you need.

A key element to living your purpose in life is to create value through doing what you love and are passionate about. In exchange for that value, others are more than happy to pay you what passes for equal value in this economy.

Almost everyone asks the question “what is my purpose in life?” in some form or other. At least I’d like to believe that everyone eventually wants to know their life purpose.

I’ve been exploring the subject of the purpose of life for many years now. Sometimes I see it with tremendous clarity and at other times, it’s all a muddled mess of thoughts, emotions and clashing experiences.

Sometimes, I think it’s all just a Darwinian type of life and at other moments, I feel that it’s absolutely vital for human consciousness to evolve past the messy pool of life’s physical soup of evolution.

A Temporary Existence or A Timeless Journey Of The Soul?

Some people believe that life is just temporary and that we all should shoot for what we can get in this life before we die. And since nothing exists after death, we only have this one chance to get all we can. Others believe that there is life after death, and what we do in this life we have determines what happens to us after we die.

I’ve stood on both sides and I can tell you, it can get really messy. So what you’ll get in this particular article is my take on life purpose. Of course, you don’t have to accept what I say. In fact, if you can provide perspectives to the contrary, it’ll be so much more interesting.

To be clear, I’ve got my own take on life purpose, so I won’t belabor your stand. Ok… maybe a little… but we are all responsible for our own thoughts, decisions and actions in this life.

I’m not going to stop you from going on your own personal journey of life to find out what’s true for you.

Do We Have A Life Purpose In The First Place?

In order to answer this question about life purpose, I’ll provide the framework of my perspective. It’ll help give you an understanding of why I come to certain conclusions about life purpose. Again, it’s up to the individual what he or she wants to believe, but since you’re here reading this I suppose you’ll somewhat a tad interested in what my thoughts are.

Different Levels of Consciousness

I believe that many dimensions exist. Each are a continuation of the previous and a gateway into the next. I believe that everyone is at different stages on their life path and that life is a tremendously intricately woven piece of fabric.

Life consciousness exists at many levels. From the consciousness of a rock, to that of a tree frog, to the existence of a wolf, the perspective of a giraffe and eventually the (supposedly) dominant life form on planet earth… the human being.

And even then, as human beings, we experience life on different levels depending on where we are on our life journey.

Since I don’t remember being a rock, a tree frog or a giraffe, I’ll share my thoughts on what I see of human consciousness.

Different Dimensions Existing Side By Side

As for different dimensions, I believe consciousness exists at many different rates of vibration. From our consciousness as a baby, a toddler, to our teen years, then to working adults before reaching our prime and thereafter, our later years of life.

There is also the consciousness of tangible reality, which is rooted in the physical. And there is the consciousness of intangible reality, which exists in the metaphysical worlds of mind, spirit and soul. Sometimes, these two blend into each other where we experience the intangible worlds directly affecting the physical and vice versa.

Depending on our level of conscious awareness, we get to experience different “realities” that exist. Sometimes, these realities do blend together in what some people may call synchronicity.

Realities That Are Outside Our Five Senses

I’ll also tend to accept that there are realities beyond the comprehension of our 5 basic senses. Since we can only experience our physical life through our 5 senses, we would not be able to perceive any dimensions that lie outside the sensory capabilities of our sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste.

A Life Purpose That’s Programmed Into Our DNA

Now, I’ve had my time arguing and fighting with pre-determined life purpose. I’m a strong believer that we alone hold the keys to our destiny. I’d like to believe that we can “choose” our life paths and decide what we truly want for our lives.

It’s the “I’m the Captain of my Fate” type of blind faith arrogance and perspective.

But ever since I went through several life experiences, I’ve allowed myself to free my mind to see what Divine Consciousness truly is like. I’ve allowed my mind to explore the idea of a divine life purpose.

The Cycle Of Life

When I look to life and nature for clues, I see an amazing tapestry that is so complex and inter-woven that it sometimes takes my breathe away.

Every life form serves a purpose in the continuation of the whole. The moment the whole starts to change, irrelevant life forms either adapt or become extinct as their place in the cycle of life no longer provides any service. In other words, life purpose changes according to the larger consciousness.

That doesn’t mean that existing life forms cannot be “re-purposed” by higher consciousness.

Take a tree for example. It’s basic “life purpose” involves taking carbon dioxide and recycling it into oxygen, holding the top soil together against running off in the rain, providing the basic food for mobile life forms through its vegetation and fruits, and shelter for animals under its foliage.

Lower Consciousness Life Forms Getting “Re-Purposed”

But that doesn’t stop a higher consciousness (humans) from re-purposing a tree into wooden planks for boats, tables, chairs, cupboards and other structures needed for human civilization.

When a higher consciousness comes along, lower level life forms get transformed according to higher level will.

When we don’t wake up to our higher level consciousness, we get “re-purposed” by the people who are more intelligent and aware to become their tools, furniture and work mules. We become tools and instruments according to the life purpose of people who have a larger awareness of the world we live in.

Humanity – Purpose or Re-Purposed?

Take the majority of humanity for example. The majority are led by those who are more “intelligent” and driven to be at the top of the food chain. These minority are given the responsibility for the welfare and sustenance of the majority who “trust” them to do what is “right”.

But like how we re-purpose trees to serving our need for furniture, shelter and other objects, the higher conscious humans also re-purpose lower conscious humans for their own purpose. Taking care of the majority is also akin to how we as human beings take care of the world that has been entrusted to us.

We “take care” of animals by breeding them on farms, pumping them with chemicals for accelerated rates of growth, just so they can serve our purpose as food for the growing mass of humanity. We “take care” of plants and vegetables by growing them on farms, utilizing improved ways of farming like hydroponics, fertilization, showering them with insecticides and more so they serve their purpose as our food source.

There is nothing inherently “right” or “wrong” with these activities. It’s just that each of these activities will have results that impact on the world around us. Some in immediately visible ways, and other times only seen over generations.

Really In Control Of Your Life or The Illusion of Control?

The more intelligent and “higher conscious” humans re-purpose lower level humans into organizations, industrial parks, multi-national companies, manual laborers and other functions needed to serve the larger good for the survival of civilization.

When you choose to be of lower consciousness, you will eventually be re-purposed by someone else to unwittingly for other functions that serve their idea of what human civilisation should be. Your life purpose gets determined by someone else. If you choose to be “normal”, then you cannot fault the way your life turns out.

On the bright side, being lower level consciousness has its perks. You don’t have to think about a lot of things, like your divine life purpose. You just need to follow the established rules of society, understand its rules and work it until you reach the top. You’ll (hopefully) enjoy a lot of material success along the way and even a happy and fulfilling family / personal life.

To be honest, it’s not all bad. Like I said, it’s a personal choice about what you want your life to be.

Physical Based Life Purpose

When you live purely at the physical or material level, you cannot help but be pulled along by the life purpose that has been programmed into your physical DNA. The moment you stray from your physical life purpose, you feel all the symptoms that tell you that you’re off the track.

You get hungry, taken as uniquely weird compared to the majority, you feel like an outcast of society and even may get ostracized by the community you live in. When you stop taking care of your physical being, it starts to deteriorate at a faster pace and you get ill. You even die before your “allotted” time.

When you live purely in the material and physical world, you cannot help but be pushed by your physical based life purpose of Darwinian origin.

There is a need to be more attractive to potential mates, a push for success, fame, status, material resources. To be at the top of the pecking order, you need to fit into the social norms of attractiveness, fight for supposedly scarce resources and all the things that come with being in a competitive society.

But if that’s all you are, then serving that life purpose is what will bring you the most fulfillment. Being the best, accumulating as much material resources as possible, being the one in power and following the life theme of “survival of the fittest”.

However, I do believe there are other dimensions that exists beyond our five senses. And with the understanding of a larger universe, our life purpose can shift and take on different directions.

Spiritual Life Purpose

Just like our physical bodies have pre-programmed purposes of survival, procreation and dominance, our souls have their own divine purpose. In other words, our souls have a Soul Purpose for their existence.

I say that the next step in evolution of humanity isn’t just in becoming better physical specimens of nature. I think that the next step is in the evolution of our spiritual consciousness, where imagination exists and where the intangible is what’s truly real. And when we step into spiritual consciousness, we become aware of our spiritual life purpose.

However, like all evolution, I would also say that this next step starts with the minority. In a world where we have been dominantly judged on physical attributes over the last few centuries, stepping into the spiritual worlds and evolving our consciousness begins with small steps.

This evolution from physical beings to spiritual beings may even just be a cycle of human consciousness. We are constantly moving from phases of physical consciousness to spiritual consciousness, and then back again.

Just like we all have physical based talents, we also have spiritual based talents. In terms of physical abilities, some of us are better suited for physical strength, others for vocations that require manual dexterity, and others yet suited for repetitive tasks that hone specific skills.

Just as we have physical based talents, those who are consciously waking also have spiritual abilities and talents.

Don’t ask me what they are yet, because it’s not an area that I’ve fully explored. But if I had to guess, I would place healing, long distance communication, astral travel and other seemingly out-of-this-world type of abilities as spiritual based talents.

Maybe even the ability to see future possibilities like condition dependent prophecy?

Just like physical based life purpose, I believe that we have spiritual purposes. You will be given abilities according to your life purpose in each dimension of existence.

However, I also believe that while many are awakening to these possibilities of life, the majority of humanity still lives within the co-created realities of materialism. They either may be dimly aware of soul discontent, or just be totally oblivious to other realities that may exist side-by-side their every day life.

Do You Have A Life Purpose?

In my opinion, I’ve come to the conclusion that we do. It’s a question of what level of awareness you currently reside in. A physical-dominant consciousness… or a spiritual awareness of life.

You know when you’re “off” your physical life purpose. You just don’t feel good on the inside and outside. Discordant feelings, thoughts and emotions become louder as you go further off purpose. When you are off your physical life purpose, you find yourself pushed to the sidelines because you don’t create enough value to human society to justify your existence in the social order.

When you don’t take the necessary care of your physical bodies, you start to experience ill health.

When you are off your spiritual life purpose, you feel a disconnect between feelings of joy, harmony and the flow of life energy that powers both your body and soul.

You do have a life purpose, depending on your level of conscious awareness. Sometimes, it’s one that you decide for yourself. For others, it’s the higher consciousness beings who decide what they should do.

Blending Your Physical And Spiritual Life Purpose Into Synergistic Harmony

To live in this current society, it’s my experience and belief that you need to blend both your physical and spiritual life purposes in synergistic harmony. Regardless of which level you operate on, you are given abilities to provide value to your physical and spiritual communities.

When you do, your survival is looked after. When you don’t, you can pretty much be sidelined after given enough chances. I know it’s harsh when I say it like that.

When you don’t make use of your talents, you’ll eventually be demoted and thrown out the gates. After all, one of the requirements of fulfilling your life purpose is to make the most of your talents.

But why wouldn’t you want to make the most of what you have in the first place?

It’s what will give you a sense of self-worth, confidence and a place in your chosen community.

Developing your god-given talents will bring you joy. As you grow in your abilities, you will also start to evolve into a higher level of consciousness. As you follow your life purpose, the horizon can open up to you. Who knows what exists beyond the spiritual realms of human understanding?

I’m betting it’s a mind-blowing experience of unknown possibilities that a pure physical-based mind cannot hope to comprehend. But it all begins with following your life purpose to the best life you could ever have.

Setting Goals For Darbright.com 2011

I’ve been doing a lot of introspection lately (hardly any surprise there) about what I’ve been doing with my life. And I’ve been leaning more and more towards building a business around something that I truly love and enjoy… writing, personal growth, internet marketing, learning and basically creating assets that help other people.

If you can relate to this, what has always held me back from fully commiting to it was the fear of not being good enough. What made me want to devote more time to Darbright.com was the realization that as much as I enjoyed what I was previously doing for work, the joy of it has slowly but irreversibly died.

It’s also coincided with an increase in my awareness as well as experience. But then again, it could be that I’m just getting older and I want to do something meaningful with my life before I die.

My Vision For Darbright.com

When I thought about what I wanted Darbright.com to be like someday, I was inspired to write a short vision. But when I read it, I wonder if I am biting off more than I can chew. It’s a grand vision for this little ole’ website, but something that’s worth working towards.

For what it’s worth, here it is:

“A personal growth website has to be warm, interesting, thought-provoking, engaging, provide solutions and allows interaction. It basically pushes a reader to want to grow and take action in their lives.

It’s got to be a trusted source of advice for things that work, and why.

It encourages, inspires and opens up new paths in life for my fellow man (and woman).

It has to provide hope for the future, because without hope we have nothing to look forward to.

It helps to make sense of life and connects to people with emotional, intellectual and spiritual appeal.

Simply put, it’s got to help me grow as a person.”

I know, right? It sounds great and all but it’s going to be a tall order for me to actually flesh out into reality. I’m already adapting my style of writing to make it more personal. No more “textbook” type articles that are logically accurate but bore you to tears.

You also get a little more dose of my writing personality, even though I might be more on the quiet side in real life. Well.. most of the time anyway.

Building up Darbright.com also got me to thinking about tag lines. You know, those little one or two liners that sort of define the brand. I’ve gone through a few in the past with the most recent one being “Personal Growth For Conscious Living”.

I thought that was decent, but it didn’t really encapsulate the essence of what Darbright.com is probably going to be about. So while I was rummaging around in my head, this tagline popped out…

“Living consciously through deliberate evolution… with the occasional leap of faith.”

Yup, I know. Pretty cool huh? Even if I do say so myself.

I especially like the part about the occasional leap of faith. I can set goals, imagine and hope that I get the results I want. But in the end, it still feels like a crap shoot.

I’ll never know until I know…

And taking that step forward is very much a leap of faith, if you can imagine.

That makes the creation of a website logo really interesting. The first image that comes to mind is one of a man jumping off the cliff into the unknown. The man symbolizes you, me or a life traveller.

The jumping off the cliff is the leap of faith out into the unknown.

It might trigger off a rush of lemmings inspired to run off a cliff too. But you can’t blame me for that. I didn’t do it. Nope… wasn’t me.

Keeping Goals Simple Enough To Succeed

Have you ever analyzed something to the point of paralysis? Where you build up a picture that keeps getting grander and grander to the point where it becomes overwhelming?

The initial problem that I faced with setting goals for Darbright.com involve knowing too much. The more I think about developing Darbright.com into a business, the more wickedly complex and sophisticated it gets inside my head.

It’s like building a mental model utilizing as many of the internet marketing principles and strategies that I’ve learnt over the years, setting up complex lead in pages, money pages, product review pages, advertising, content writing, marketing, branding, opt-in boxes and all the other seemingly “important” stuff an online business could possibly need.

If you don’t understand what I’m talking about in the last paragraph, it’s alright. It kind of gets complicated for me too.

What I’ve finally decided was to keep things simple. Out of all the chaos and complexity, my conclusion is that the simplest and most robust business model is the one that’ll stand the test of time.

It’s like having a overly complicated machine built with air pumps, computer chips, artificial intelligence, back-up power supply and other components to tighten a screw into the wall. All you really need is just a proper sized screwdriver to get the job done.

The less parts there are to fail, the less things there are to actually fail… I call this “revolutionary concept”… drum roll please…

Keeping It Simple Enough To Succeed!…

tada…!

Ok, I didn’t come up with that concept. But so long as the goals that I set are simple enough to actually execute on plus comprehensive enough to steadily move forward, reaching my goal is only a matter of time and staying the course.

The basic nuts and bolts of a personal growth website are authentic and valuable content. Basic marketing will be used to spread the love around, and hopefully it’s good enough to go viral.

If I’m putting out dumb-ass content (which is an area I’m working on improving), it’s not really doing the world or myself a service, is it?

I figure if I write enough good articles that people actually want to read, it’ll eventually reach critical mass where good content automatically goes viral. Of course, thrown in with some good old fashioned online marketing strategies.

Nothing fancier than that, really. Just good ol’ fashioned content + some understanding of how the web works.

So Yeah….

So yeah…. that’s the direction that I’m taking with Darbright.com. It’s not overly complicated if you know how to write (or type) and have basic internet marketing knowledge.

Will it work? Who knows for sure… you’re going to be the judge of that. In reality, while the process can be enjoyable, it’s only results that really count, right?

edit June 13, 2011: I’m still wondering about the tag line. I guess it really depends on my mood for the day, but I wonder if “Personal Growth For Conscious Living… With The Occasional Leap Of Faith” would be better…

I was exploring the concepts of inherited purpose and divine purpose when I wrote the following. By itself, this post doesn’t really “teach” anything except for sharing some of the thoughts and feelings that I explore in my inner worlds at times.

Since I especially enjoyed writing the part about Divine Purpose, I thought that some of you might enjoy reading it as well. There really isn’t any point to this article except that I wanted to share it.

My Inherited Purpose

When I was writing about the kind of purpose that we inherit from society, these were the things that I could resonate with. I’m sure you’ll find them quite common and reasonable. At the same time, I find them stifling and not a real representation of who I am.

These inherited life purposes are relevant, but they feel more like something that would be a by-product of fulfilling the divine reason or authentic life purpose for which we were born. These life purposes are a mix of common goals as well as a result from the culture that I grew up in.

My (Earthbound) Inherited Life Purpose

The following are some of the things I came up with when I thought about possible life purposes that I could have. No doubt you’ll find them… common?

To make money

To be a provider for my family / mate

To be successful in a corporate job / vocation

To be good in sales (from family – insurance sales)

To be a good father

To be a good husband

To be a successful business man

To be financial free / independent

To be sociable

To be famous / popular

To be a good student

To be obedient to authority

To be intelligent

To be well-informed

To be a hard worker first, and smart worker second

To be a saver

To live frugally and within my means

To be out-going, fun and happy

To live up to the expectations of others

To be a productive member of society

To put others before self

To be humble

To be a light worker (i.e. to be a good person)

To be a extroverted style leader

To live in the present physical reality (i.e. get out of my own head)

To be a gentleman

To be an alpha male type man

To have a confident and positive self-image

To sacrifice self for the good of others

Other “normal” life goals…

Yeah… you’re right. They do seem a little trite and boring, don’t they? I don’t know why anyone would bother trying to fulfill these things as their life purpose. They seem so … finite… and… temporary? Nothing that actually sustains the soul beyond death and into the next realms.

But for the sake of fitting into society, let’s just repeat our inherited life purposes to ourselves until we completely overwhelm our authentic selves, shall we? I repeat mine… you say yours out loud.

Jokes aside, everyone travels through life in their own space and personal bubble. I definitely do want to fulfill most of the inherited life purposes that I wrote above, but I also do want to identify and establish what my divine purpose is.

I do believe that there is more to life than just the temporary. As a physical human being, there are basic needs to be met and fulfilled. But beyond that, I sense an inner urging and calling to do something that allows the freedom of self expression in wonderful, amazing and inspiring ways.

As conscious minds (souls) living in a physical body, don’t you feel that life is more than just the satisfaction of base material needs?

My Divine Purpose

When I started writing this portion, I allowed myself to sink into the depths of my inner being. When I touched energy and purpose, the following just flowed out. I’m still in the process of figuring out how it relates to divine purpose on Earth since I can’t do any of them in human form, but since it seems to “out of this world”, it might really just be divine.

I’ve gotten clarity in my life purpose, but I am still in the process of further defining it for myself. There already is a direction set and certain general things that I would like to be. But for the sake of sharing part of the inner world that I traveled, here’s my supposedly divine life purpose.

………..

My Divine Purpose

What I really want to do is to explode into a cascade of multi-colored fireworks across the night sky. To burn brightly for a few moments in time before fading away to blackness…

To revel in the beauty of natural born chaos of creation as life explodes into a multitude of different life forms taking their own paths through the universe.

To release dark matter energy and be free of the power that burns deep within. To travel through the stars and solar systems that propagate throughout the universe and beyond. To become one with the Divine Consciousness and yet hold the perspective of self.

To be amazed at the glory of the heavens and the wonders of oceanic depths.

To be alive and feel the energy thrumming throughout nature and divine cosmos. To laugh and play in the stars, touching the gift of creation and sparking off new life forms for the sheer joy of it.

To race through the liquid depths of sub-atomic reality and push the limits of power and speed.

To create havoc as I speed through old galaxies and watch as they reform themselves into new shapes and systems.

To travel through desolate planetary systems and re-start life on dead worlds. To enjoy the sheer delight of watching new life as it crawls out of the depths and spawns into new evolution.

And when all is said and done, to rest in the bowers of creation and take delight in all that I have made.

But alas… I am trapped in this mortal form and reside on planet earth… Trapped within the masses of humanity yet longing to return to my playground among the stars.

………..

If you’re not the imaginative type, then that wasn’t really for you. But if you love traveling and exploring the universes that lie within, then I hope the pictures (you can click on them) I put up help to evoke the type of emotional energy I experienced when I was writing it out.

It definitely was a head-on rush through the universe and beyond. And even then at the end, it was more of a rest rather than a definitive conclusion.

The edge of creation is always making new things… I suppose that’s why it’s called creation.

edit: When I read through my divine purpose again, I suppose it’s something a larger, omnipotent being might be like. Maybe we’re all really gods hidden within our human bodies…
